Summer Camp
Summer 2026
-
Week long summer camps running 9-3 daily (with extended care hours for our working families! 8:00am - 4pm)
-
Summer camp days follow the same invisible rhythms of forest school, the rhythms of nature.
-
The overall goal of summer camps is to invisibly facilitate learning and allow nature to be the ultimate teacher. Our Mentors do so by observing the curiosity of your child and the group and then asking timely questions, or offering small bites of knowledge or even shapeshifting into a fox or tree or bee!
-
We are committed to being as safe as necessary which includes constant monitoring and reassessment of our wilderness surroundings
-
Ages 3+ (must be potty trained)

Forest School
Registration for the winter semester is opening November 1st!
-
The beauty of forest school is that we follow the rhythms of nature over a longer period of time which deepens our connection with ourselves, nature and others
-
Our daily rhythms have built in lessons that follow the curiosity of the learners and are deepened by follow core routines (more info on core routines here)
-
The overall goal is to invisibly facilitate learning. We have holistic development when we allow nature to be our guide. Physically that can be things such as our ‘fox walk’ or ‘owl eyes’. Mentally that can be learning to concentrate like a cougar, or hide like a ground squirrel. Spiritually that can be observing and embodying that we too are part of nature. Nature is the ultimate teacher. Our Mentors invisibly facilitate by observing the curiosity of your child and the group and then asking timely questions, or offering small bites of knowledge or even shapeshifting into a fox or tree or bee!

-
Forest school is a fantastic preschool option but also an addition to your homeschool program (you choose how many days to attend!)
-
Forest school is also a fantastic accompaniment for public school kiddos who need a little more wild learning in their week (attend 1 day per week)
-
PD Day Forest school is an offering for our public school kiddos to experience forest school

Bushcraft & Survival Skills
Email naturesedgefs@gmail.com to have your or your child's name added to interest lists for upcoming workshops.
With Mentors like Mors Kochanski, Phyllis and Brian McBride, Carmen and Myles Jensen, I feel like I would be doing a disservice if I did not give back to those roots and offer bushcraft and survival skills workshops.
-
!Hands-on skill development including conversations about the importance of mindset, planning and preparation.
-
Skill development will include, but not be limited to: fire lighting, shelter building, signalling help, building survival kits, etc.
-
These workshops will be scheduled throughout the year, but we encourage groups and families to book privately if desired.
